Out on the highway between home and town, high in a tree, was a redtail hawk nest. We have watched this empty old nest for several years. Finally were rewarded with the hatching of two babies around July 1st,2009.

The babies finally stand up and show themselves.
Mom brings a nice piece of red meat to the hungry almost grown babies. They took their first flight the next day, August 1st.
